A Blog Post…2 years in the making

So, about two years ago, after jumping back into the world of Facebook, and returning to a teaching job, my little blog space was neglected, fizzled and pretty much died.  So, it was interesting to me that a searching client recently visited my blog space.  My blog space with the last post from 2014. I felt shame, but that knowledge also sparked a tiny flame. I often have the desire to blog, yet carving out the time hasn’t been one of my top priorities.  I still don’t know if I’ll return full force, but I am hoping to catch you up a little on the last two years.

My greatest desire for Leila (pronounced Lee-eye-luh after my Grandmother) Photography has been to grow my newborn business.   I love being able to photograph little miracles, fresh gifts of joy to their families.  My pursuit of photography education has concentrated on this niche.  If you allowed me to photograph your precious newborn, you deserved your own dedicated blog post, but know how grateful I was to be chosen as your photographer. While not all, here are some Newborn session shots from the last two years:

Of course there wouldn’t be these precious littles, without their beautiful mommas.  If you are interested in booking a Newborn or Maternity session, it is very important to get it on the books early.  It is best to photograph newborns in that first 6-14 days of life, so that we can capture their precious curly, newness. Maternity sessions are usually scheduled around 32 weeks.

I’ve also over the past two years, enjoyed one-year sessions, cake smashes, milestone photo sessions, and family photo sessions.  In fact, I’ve been able to watch some of those precious newborns grow into toddlers through our sessions (Oh, how I love that.) I promise I haven’t forgotten, and I plan to get some of those up on the blog soon!
