While this was actually an on-location part of this adorable 6 month session, I thought it warranted it’s own post. The first photo was taken during this couples’ Maternity Session in September 2013. We were able to do a golden-hour session, and the scorching Texas summer had dried most of the grass into wheat-colored stalks. It was a warm photo-session (literally and in tone), and I loved the golden glow. They held up the first dress that they bought together after they found out they were expecting a girl.
Fast forward to May of this year when we were doing a 6 month session for their little-bit. She now fit into that special dress above, so we wanted to re-create an image in the same location. However, the Spring rains had it lush and VERY green. We knew we wouldn’t have much time with a little one near her bedtime, and an actual “golden-hour” was out of the question with sunset being so much later in the Spring. So, we improvised and did a little post-processing to make the images more similar in tone to the maternity session. Here is the image SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera) and the final image.
I love this family and their session. Thanks so much W. family!!
