Did you know that children in the foster care system in our county are often sleeping in CPS offices while awaiting placement?
Were you aware that already stretched caseworkers are supervising children in these situations, while trying to provide the basic necessities of food and laundry?
Isaiah117 House, McLennan County, is a way to reduce the trauma of foster placement and provide for children and caseworkers in our county through a fully functioning home. This home can be a safe and more comfortable transition for children as they await their more permanent placement.
In this Monday Mom Minute episode, I chat with Sarah Miller about the vision, goals and trajectory of our Waco, Texas area Isaiah117 House. While there are definitely big ways you can get involved in Foster Care, there are also many small ways that still make a big impact. Join our chat and see what you can do.
