Monday Mom Minute, Episode 6, Leila Photography: Birth Photography Post-Covid

October 18, 2021

I enjoyed having Lindsey Wachsmann, of Willow Sage Photography in the studio. I grabbed her a Skinny Vanilla Latte, so we could chat over coffee, about Birth Photography post-Covid

I absolutely love birth photography. There is nothing more powerful than witnessing birth and sharing those images with the family.  However, the on-call life is definitely not for me on a regular basis.  So, in most circumstances, I refer birth photography to others, and stick with my maternity, newborn and childhood sessions. However, I was curious as to whether birth photography had survived our pandemic, and if it had…how it has changed.

Lindsey is absolutely passionate about birth photography, and is one of the photographers I regularly refer to for this genre. Pre-Covid, she worked so hard to build knowledge and rapport with the birthing community, and was even able to photograph a C-section, which is almost unheard of.

As with so many things, COVID has totally re-written what this looks like for expectant mommas, so Lindsey and I delve into the current state of birth photography. Grab your coffee and join us.

The Monday Mom Minute is a new interview series by Heather Sullivan of Leila Photography, to serve parents in the Waco, Texas area with local resources surrounding pregnancy, postpartum care, birth, newborns, babies, toddlers, preschool, and childhood.

I’d love for you to find me on Instagram, and subscribe on YouTube and enjoy each episode of the Monday Mom Minute series headed your way!

Definitely head over and follow Lindsey of Willow Sage Photography on Instagram and Facebook.
