In this episode of the Monday Mom Minute, I chat with Lydia Tate, Executive Director of the Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC).
CWCJ in Waco, TX helps women build the skills they need to move toward a future career. They offer free GED prep along with job preparation classes and workshops in testing, money management, entrepreneurship, computer classes, Bible study, personal relationship growth, resume writing, interview skills, communication skills, and much more. CWJC provide instruction and mentorship to help students along their journey.
Over 68% of the women utilizing the resources that CWJC provides in our community are single moms. Lydia shares how we, as women, moms or professionals can step in and serve other women through CWJC.
CWJC is a faith based program that is founded on the belief that education is deeply transforming and powerful. Their goal is to empower women toward positive changes through access to education.
I’m so inspired by the mission of CWJC and am grateful for their work in our community.
